| About Androd |
| Androd is owned and operated by Bob Andrade of Seekonk,
Massachusetts. Bob had always enjoyed fishing, but his passion for it began in 1966
when his father took him fishing and Bob caught his first Bass. Unfortunately, his passion
was postponed due to the situation in Vietnam at the time. However, after he was honorably
discharged in November of 1969, he went right back to it. In the
spring of 1970, Bob was in a sporting goods store to purchase a fishing plug. He caught
site of someone building a fishing rod and was fascinated how it was done. He stayed and
watched how the rod was built. Subsequently, he went home and tried it himself on an old
fishing rod. The completed rod was excellent considering it was the first one he had ever
customized. Click the next links to see Bob's

| Custom Fishing Rods |
| How do you obtain a custom fishing rod?
First, you would choose the type of rod you want to fish with. Once that is decided,
Bob will fit you to the blank of your preference the way a high end tailor would fit you
to a fine Italian suit. From there, you select the colors of the wraps, types of guides and grips. Some grips to choose from would be cork tape, hypalon, or cork. And of course, this is all fitted to the type of reel that you will be using. When finished, Bob can personalize the rod by putting your name on it, name of your boat, significant other, etc. You could even sign the rod yourself if you wanted. |
| Warranties |
| The workmanship of all the rods have a one year warranty. The parts that make up the rod have warranties are honored by their respective manufacturers for the time the published, such as the blanks and the guides. |
| Pricing |
| Due to the nature of a customizing a fishing rod to an individual, it is virtually impossible to publish a stringent pricing structure. However, as with most things, "you get what you pay for". The better the materials, the more the rod would cost; the cheaper the materials, the less it would cost. That's one of the advantages of getting a custom rod from Androd. You get to choose the materials. For example, if you'd rather have a superior blank, but aren't concerned with the quality of the guides, Androd can do that for you! |
